On this episode of “Sippin With Samurai Piggy” we try Captain Lawrence Brewing Company’s [(Elmsford, NY) (@captlawrence)] Cookie O Puss. This 8% ABV Milk Stout was a St. Patty’s Day special release that Captain Lawrence collabed with Carvel® Ice Cream! This Stout was brewed with signature chocolate crunchies from Carvel®, fudge, ice cream and milk sugar. You’ll get notes of a deep, rich chocolate flavor and a strong roasted malt backbone with roasted coffee notes as well. Cheers!

LET ME GET DEM JUICY BITS!!! Juicy Bits- Weldwerks Brewing Co

On this episode of “Sippin With Samurai Piggy” we try Weldwerks Brewing Company’s [(@weldwerksbrewing) (Greeley, CO)] Juicy Bits. This 6.7% ABV New England IPA is hopped with Mosaic, Citra & El Dorado hops; this imparts huge citrus and tropical notes with a softer, fluffier mouthfeel from the lower attenuation, and the characteristic New England hop haze. The end result is a beer reminiscent of citrus juice with extra pulp. And as always, thanks to @tossware for providing the receptacles to hold my beer. Cheers!

NIGHTMARE ON BRETT STREET!!! Nightmare On Brett- Crooked Stave Brewing Co

On this episode of “Sippin With Samurai Piggy” we try Crooked Stave Brewing Company’s [(Denver, CO) (@crookedstave)] Nightmare On Brett. This 9.666% Dark Sour Ale initially aged in large oak foeders with their mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria and then the beer is transferred to bourbon and whiskey barrels from Leopold Bros [(Denver, CO) (@leopoldbros)] with cherries. The various spirit barrels bring on a new life to this beer as it conditions for months, while obtaining additional bourbon and whiskey characteristics. Dominated by dark fruit aromas and flavors, the underlying cacao notes meld with an acidic tart berry finish. With each batch release being a unique blend of barrels, the multiple variations of Nightmare on Brett released throughout the year prove that with creativity and experimentation, anything is possible.
