El Titan De Bronze
Redemption Sungrown Habano
Beer pairing =
1st – Founders Brewing Backwoods Bastard
2nd – Founders Brewing Dirty Bastard
Floral & Nutty notes, spiced cedar on finish, roasted peanuts and a nice bit of strength.
The blend really starts getting interesting here. Almost a whiskey burn on the finish. It’s not a peppery burn, just more spicy with a hot woodsy note, like a nice oak barrel note with a whiskey feel on the finish. More nuttiness but with caramel notes now, a very similar floral jam note like the Gran Reserva Maduro but with more spiced cedar and nuttiness on the finish.
Toasty nuttiness, cinnamon, beatifiul charred woodsy note with spiced cedar. Caramel starts to taste like a smooth caramel toffee with great spiced cedar.
This is a smooth sailing cigar, kick back and let the perfect transitions appear. I’d say this is up there with their Gran Reserva and My Way. If you haven’t checked out El Titan De Bronze, you should definitely check it out asap.

Founders Backwoods Bastard
(scotch style ale aged in oak bourbon barrels)
This beer is very smooth, accentuates the caramel and oak notes, a nice addition to the “whiskey note” but maybe too sweet for this pairing and a little too similar in flavors for any contrast. The pairing is still good, but could be better.
Founders Brewing Dirty Bastard
(precursor to backwoods bastard, a scotch style ale)
This beer still has its “bite”
It’s not overwhelming, just present. I liked this more because it has more umph of scotch and creates an interesting contrast to the cigar notes.
