This is the 2014 Ramon Allones Specially Selected, it is a cuban cigar rated # 2 on cigar aficionado for 2015. https://www.cigaraficionado.com/top25cigar/ramon-allones-specially-selected-2015
I picked up a box 3 years ago when i was traveling and have been smoking them and aging them along the way. This is an amazing cigar and did get better with age it has the usual cuban profile with a beautiful flowery note that last from beginning to end.
I am a frequent cigar smoker and have a nice collection, i usually smoke 2 to 3 cigars a day but what made me share this with all of you is that i was amazed how well the ash held.
Usually cuban cigars have flaky ash that tends to drop once you hit an inch or so but this one was a champ. What you are seeing in the pics below is the entire cigar, i did not ash it not even once and was able to smoke it from first light all the way to the end without ashing it. It was a hassle taking the band off but it had to be done 🙂
I thought some of you might enjoy this.
